About Pocket Psych
This is our happy place, where our love of psychology and all things colourful collide!
OUR STORY
We’re two Clinical Psychologists who met at work, bonded over the chaos of balancing children, careers, and the occasional Netflix binge. Early on, we discovered a shared obsession: finding engaging, practical resources that weren’t too childish.
After countless hours of searching, we had an epiphany — instead of waiting for the perfect tools, we’d create them ourselves. Spoiler alert: it was a lot harder than we imagined!
Pocket Psych was born out of equal parts professional frustration and creative curiosity. Here, colour meets evidence, and every resource is designed to feel alive, inviting, and relevant.
At Pocket Psych, we’re on a mission to make psychology something you can see, feel and carry with you – bright, affirming and pocket-sized.
OUR FOUNDERS
Get to Know Us
I’m a Clinical Psychologist who has worked across community mental health, adolescent inpatient units, and private practice — so I’ve seen the ups, downs, and everything in between when it comes to mental health.
Over the years, I’ve met many neurodivergent people who have fallen through the cracks or had their experiences misunderstood and overshadowed by other diagnoses. That’s what fuelled my interest in assessing high-masking females and advocating for understanding, equity, and support that’s genuinely tailored to their neurotype.
Outside of work, life is delightfully chaotic. My husband and I have two young children (send help!), a ginger cat who likes to serenade us at 3am, and a Labrador who’s convinced he’s a lap dog, despite being the size of a small horse. When I’m not at work (or fetching snacks), you’ll usually find me in my pyjamas, deep in a hyperfixation about my next adventure — which, at the moment, is Japan.
I’m also a Clinical Psychologist who came to psychology a little bit later in life after spending time in the IT world. I took my time finding my passion. Since moving into the mental health field about 10 years ago I have been fortunate enough to work in community mental health and private practice.
I love all things mental health – but my deepest interest lies in supporting parents and families to break cycles and find a path that is authentically their own. Oh, and I am low key obsessed with the intersection of neurodivergence and our education system.
My life outside of work revolves around managing three little humans who engage in far too many extracurricular activities and spending time with my partner. When I’m not working or ferrying children to activities, I am either on Canva designing resources or listening to financial podcasts (I know, weird) – ideally both!
