Making sense of it, together.
Neuroaffirming tools to use in session, resources to share with the families you support, and practical ways to work alongside schools.

You’re often the one they come to once things have already got hard.
By the time a family reaches you, there’s usually been a lot of trying: mornings that fall apart, meetings with the school, and a young person who has started to believe something is wrong with them. Your job is to make sense of it all and help everyone find a way forward.
These resources are built for that work. They’re neuroaffirming, practical, and designed to slot into sessions you’re already running.
Session tools…
Neuroaffirming tools to use with young people and families, in session or in between.
Student Check-In
A visual, low-demand way for young people to show you how each part of the school day feels. Useful when talking about it directly is too much. The young person chooses whether to share their answers with you.
Open the check-inClinician Bridge
Reflect on what might have been missed, choose practical adjustments, and plan a respectful, collaborative conversation with the young person, family and school.
Open Clinician BridgeInteractive Resources Library
A growing library of neuroaffirming interactive tools to use in session or between sessions, from psychoeducation activities to guides young people can work through themselves.
Tell me when it’s readySupport the parents you’re working with…
When a young person can’t get to school, their parents are often carrying the most and getting the least guidance. Setting the Compass is our interactive guide for parents and carers navigating School Can’t. It helps them understand what’s happening for their child, notice their own stress, and map out a values-led way forward.
It fits neatly between sessions. Parents can work through it at their own pace, then bring what they noticed back to you so your sessions can build on it.
Two easy ways to get it to a family:
Purchase it on a family’s behalf and pass the access details on to the parent or carer you’re working with.
Families can buy their own access. Copy the link for an email, a text or your session notes.
Pocket Psych resources offer general information and education. They aren’t a substitute for individual advice, diagnosis or therapy.
